Hi all, I wonder if anyone have the same problem with me. I've had my Yi 4k for a few months and it has worked just fine. Until recently I noticed the camera started overheats whenever I shoot a video. And then I realized the heating is still on going even when I turned the camera off.

I thought it was the problem of my battery so I bought a new battery and it's still doing the same. I realized it kept draining the battery out even in off condition because whenever I tried to turn it on again after some time, it won't turn on because the battery is dead.

Any suggestion?

I have contacted with YI Technical Support and they have told me that it seems to be a hardware problem.
I don't remember when appeared the problem but may be when I also changed the firmware.
Currently I am in contact with gearbest about the warranty.
Do you have more information or solution?

Also I have the wifi issue, when turn on the wifi appears the message "Camera Busy" and it's imposible to turn off the wifi.
I saw the disasembly video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5IIhMF-xFk  and in the minute 2:11 you can see the wifi module AP6234 and  when the camera become hot is in the same place, coincidence?.
I think that the problem is the wifi chip , anyway  I don't  know.
I hope a soon fix.

Partial solution....
Following the instruction of this video  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5IIhMF-xFk, you can disconnect  the Wi Fi module (no need to unscrew the chip, only disconneted the cable connection). Of course you  loose the WI-FI and bluetooth functions but at least there is no battery drain anymore and you can use the action cam as before.

I think it would be pain in the a.. to return it now (because of customs). Maybe I am wrong about this...
Do you have any information what kind of hardware problem they mean?
