Hi Everybody!

I have a brand new Xiaomi Yi 4K action camera with 1.5.6 2534r firmware and with Sandisk ultra 64gb class 10 memory card.

I record videos in 1440p/60fps and randomly (after 2 min or 20 min of recording, it doesn't matter) a "Slow card" message appears on the screen. The message doesn't disappear until I remove the battery. I can't stop recording video and can't power off the camera in this period because only the "Camera busy" message appear on the screen when I try to stop the recording or power off.

Does anybody found this problem?
How can I fix it?

Thanks,
Leho

Try the newest Firmware (1.7.8). And maybe is your class 10 Card to slow for that. Class 10 Cards are NOT recommended.

Firmware: https://www.yitechnology.com/firmware/index/class/action

I used a Lexar 1000x U3 32gb even that gives the slow card error. Trying firmware 1.7.8 if it makes any difference.

hmmmmm i had the same problem with the sandisk extrem pro v30. And FW 1.6.1-sd BETA fixed my slow sd problem.

Try a reset in the settings and format the sd in the cam. Or flash FW 1.4.23

I am also on the latest firmware, and I have faced this issue.
My sdcard is Toshiba Exceria 64GB U3 card, and it has same specs as mentioned in the recommended cards.

Toshiba Exceria 64GB U3 is one of the cards I'm using without problems in my YI 4K for 4K30 videos.

And last week I ordered a Toshiba Exceria Pro 64GB and switched actioncam to unlimited filesize, got a 30min video. Only problem is, that actioncam was really warm/hot afterwards.

Do you tested your card(s) before us, if they are not damaged or fakes?

While I do not have "Slow Card" message appear on my screen, my YI 4K does lock itself in "busy camera" mode quite often - the power button pressing only result in a single "beep", The camera does not turn off, the only solution is to remove the battery. 2 days ago I lost quite important footage - I was sure the camera was recording. After pressing the shutter button to stop the recording, instead of 3 beeps, I only heard one so I know I was in a deep shit AGAIN.

Does not matter if I use 128GB cards or recommended 64GB cards. It started happening after one of the last updates. Earlier firmwares work flawlessly.

Thanks your advices and experiences.
I have bought a Sandisk Extreme Plus 64GB U3 Class 10 (https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Extreme-microSDXC-Adapter-SDSQXSG-064G-GN6MA/dp/B010NE3N3S) memory card, and updated the software to 1.7.17.

I have tested the video in High quality mode, and it didn't said the Slow Card and Camera Busy errors.

Thanks your advices.
