Maybe it's a problem with a micro sd card?Remember my first time to turn ON my Yi dashcam ask me to insert a sd card and then ask for formatting, format card and thats it,works fine.My Yi is international version firmware US 0.26 I think.

What brand of micro sd card you use?If it is a SanDisk you might bought a fake one?Your card must be a 10 class card also,to work properly.

Hi Grey, like such case you are having a Chinese version of YI dash camera but I assume you probably updated the camera with an English firmware so the issue is appearing just like this.Below is my suggestion to roll back your camera with Chinese firmware flash. Here is the link http://www.xiaoyi.com/dash/firmware/download/  and instructions should be find here please select the firmware that can match the SN code printed on the camera from the website . Good Luck

I had a similar issue when I got the camera (new). I do not remember how I "fixed" it, but I think that battery was low, so it refused to do anything. It just turned on, and turned off after 2-3 seconds. Connect it to your phone charger (5V), and let it charge completelly.

His micro sd card is bad probably,Yi dashcam is suppose to run turned in  on power suply all the time,Yi can work on its own battery only about 15 minutes,so I doubt its a battery problem. When I first turned on my Yi,it ask me to format my sd card I did that and it worked normal so far for 4 months.
