I have searched and had no luck.

New Yi dash cam and a SanDisk Ultra SDHC UHS-1 32gb class 10 card. When powering up the cam with card inserted it sticks on the "We recommend a micro SD card class 10 and above for an improved experience." screen and thats it, buttons do nothing.

If I power off the camera and take out the SD card, turn it on it says "Please insert SD card" with the camera showing in the background, I can access the settings etc without the SD card in it and when I insert the card it turns off immediatly with just the power/charging light on.

SD card is in the 32FAT format and I reformated it to make sure. Card works in my PC and I can save pictures to it.

I can not use the app to format the card either but that shouldnt matter.

You seem to have missed the news which has been circulating for about a year now that SanDisk Ultra SD cards are no longer recommended for use in dashcams.  In fact, the Company will no longer honour a warranty on those cards if they have been used in dashcams.

So, what you should do is use a different memory card, Transcend is a popular choice, and see if the problem can be corrected.  Please use a class 10 memory card.

Maybe try to format it on the computer to FAT32. Maybe it is factory formated to some other file system or not formated at all.
