Cards that did not work (Firmware 1.3.3):

Lexar 633x 128GB UHS-I - Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0118LR9Z8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Sandisk Ultra 64GB UHS-I - Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-microSDXC-Standard-Packaging-SDSQUNC-064G-GN6MA/dp/B010Q588D4/ref=sr_1_2?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1486668603&sr=1-2

Cards that worked (Firmware 1.3.3):

Samsung Pro Plus 64GB - Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Plus-MicroSDXC-Memory-Write/dp/B01273KFZW/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1486668662&sr=1-1
Samsung Pro 64GB - Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Class-Adapter-MB-MG64EA-AM/dp/B014W1ZQ42/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1486668693&sr=1-1
PNY Pro Elite 64GB U3 - Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/PNY-Elite-MicroSDXC-Card-P-SDUX64U395PROE-GE/dp/B01CVOMZ82/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1486668719&sr=1-1&keywords=pny+pro+elite+64gb

I am returning the 128GB Lexar 633x cards I bought specifically for this camera, and I have ordered the Samsung Evo Plus 128GB cards as recommended by a poster above.

This is not a card issue, but a firmware / hardware issue of the camera. Yi should be very clear about compatibility and offer a working card database.

Hi,

I have new Yi 4K (1.3.3) with SanDisk Extreme microSDXC UHS-I U3 64Gb Class10 600x V30 and have same problem "NO SD CARD". Workaround pull and insert card while Yi is power on.
I found, that GoPro also has same problem https://community.gopro.com/t5/Cameras/Hero-5-Black-sd-error/td-p/15556 but last firmware resolve problem.

Yi when will you resolve this problem on Yi 4K?

Thx

I'm waiting for my replacement to come, but talking with the seller, he told me they suggest tu use SD cards smaller than 64GB, and tecnical service is working to solve this issue.

So if you don∩t have more issues with the camera, you can wait for a new firmware that solves the issue, or return the camera and ask for a refund.

So, my San Disk Extreme 64 Gb was giving me the Slow Card error for anything better than FullHD @ 30 Fps.
It failed to work on the GoPro Session 5 at all, but after GoPro released firmware 1.57 the card started working on the GoPro without any problems, and my friend bought the SD from me, very luckily for me, since Xiaomi doesn't acknowledge that the problem exists and doesn't work on fixing the issues anyhow.

I decided to gamble, and try another card. What worked for me was Lexar 633 64Gb card. Cheaper than SanDisk and works better with this camera.

Hopefully this helps someone else out there, but I too was experiencing "Slow Card" and "SD Card Error" while trying to record anything greater than 1080P (I was mostly recording 2.7K so I could use 60FPS and image stabilizer)

The SD card I was using is Lexar 1000x microSDXC 128GB UHS-II/U3 (LSDMI128CBNL1000R)  (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00U77V5KU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). What solved my issues was doing a Full Format, not just the quick format, of the SD card to exFAT with 128kb allocation size.  After that, and based on recommendations from YI Support, I upgraded to firmware 1.4.0 (https://www.facebook.com/groups/XiaomiYiCam/search/?query=1.4.0).  After I performed both of those things, the card has worked flawlessly and I have recorded video on 2.7K at 60FPS continually until the battery died (prior to the Full Format and when I was using firmware 1.3.3 I was only able to record 4-6 minutes before I got "SD Card Error" or "Slow Card").

I also purchased SanDisk Extreme 64GB microSDXC UHS-I Card V30 (SDSQXVF-064G-GN6MA) (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HU3Q6S4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and after performing a Full Format to exFAT, the card has worked flawlessly with my camera on firmware 1.4.0

So those that are having issues I would strongly suggest that you perform the Full Format (yes it's painful to wait the ~1hr or so, but it fixed my issue) and upgrade to the new firmware 1.4.0 https://www.facebook.com/groups/XiaomiYiCam/search/?query=1.4.0

As for those that aren't using a recommended card by Yi (at the bottom of page https://www.yitechnology.com/actioncamera/specs/id/5), you are rolling the dice, but maybe my success might help you get your card to work.

it's unbelievable, a new firmware is available via facebook but not on camera's firmware web.

Hello.  I am about to buy card dedicated for yi 4k (already ordered). Is standard for example SanDisc Extreme U3 enough or PRO U3 is advised?  The question is: is 60mb/s writing speed enough for all recording modes (4k, 2.7k 60p, 1080p 120p etc.)  or I should buy with 90mb/s recording speed?
